Submit a PDF

For unpublished work or sources ICSAC cannot resolve via DOI. Provide the manuscript metadata; ICSAC reviews the PDF directly. Text-layer PDFs only — image-only scans cannot be reviewed.

Already posted as a preprint? That’s fine.

If it’s on Zenodo or arXiv, the DOI route fetches it for you. A preprint on any other server (Preprints.org, bioRxiv, medRxiv, SSRN, Research Square, OSF, ChemRxiv and the rest) comes through this form: upload the PDF and give the preprint’s DOI below. The preprint stays where it is; on acceptance the Persistence article gets its own DOI under the Institute’s prefix, linked to it. A paper already published in a journal can’t be submitted.

If your manuscript is currently under review at another journal, do not submit it here. Most journals treat any prior open deposit as prior publication and will withdraw your submission. Wait for the journal’s decision first.

Submitter

This is how we address you in correspondence. Edit if you cite under a different form than your ORCID record name.

Used for the confirmation and result emails. Not displayed publicly.

Set from your ORCID sign-in. To submit under a different ORCID, sign out and sign back in with that account.

Authors

List every author of the manuscript in order. Row 1 pre-populates from the submitter info above; edit it if the submitter is a corresponding author rather than the first author. Affiliation is optional but encouraged.

Manuscript

50–5000 characters.

Comma- or semicolon-separated. If your paper is accepted they appear on its page.

When the manuscript was completed. Defaults to today; edit to the actual date if different.

Free-text acknowledgements. Grant numbers welcome.

Preprint (if posted)

If this manuscript is posted as a preprint on any server, its DOI (or arXiv ID). It is checked when you submit: the DOI of a paper already published in a journal is refused.

Related identifiers (optional)

Prior preprints, datasets, supplementary material, or earlier versions. Each row has an identifier (DOI, arXiv ID, URL) and a relation type (e.g. "is supplement to", "is previous version of").

Code and data

ICSAC doesn’t host code or data. If your paper says code or data is available, keep it somewhere public of your choosing (GitHub, Zenodo, Harvard Dataverse or similar) and link it here; your paper’s page will show the link as hosted by you. A paper that says it has code or data but gives no link is returned for revision before review.

Does your paper say code or data is available?

Before you submit

If the paper is accepted — optional

Everything below is at no cost to you and unticked allows it. Tick what you would rather we did not do; you can change any of it on your response page after acceptance.
